Online Therapy California

Virtual support for anxiety, trauma, and motherhood—no matter where you are in California

Finding the right therapist can feel overwhelming—especially when you’re looking for someone who understands the nuances of trauma, pregnancy, or postpartum mental health. Whether you’re in the heart of Sacramento or tucked away in the foothills, I offer online therapy California residents can count on for expert, compassionate care.

Hi! I’m Brittany, a licensed therapist based in Shingle Springs, CA, and I work exclusively online with clients throughout the state of California. Many of the individuals I support live in nearby areas like Roseville, Folsom, El Dorado Hills, and Sacramento—but because I work virtually, you don’t have to be nearby to get the support you deserve.

Online Therapy California: Care That Meets You Where You Are

You’re busy. You’re balancing work, home, family—or maybe you’re simply trying to get through each day. Online therapy gives you the freedom to access support from the comfort of your home (or car or office!) without needing to commute. All you need is a private space and a device with internet access.

Whether you’re seeking online therapy for trauma, feeling overwhelmed by postpartum anxiety, or navigating the emotional rollercoaster of pregnancy, online therapy allows you to get help on your terms.

Services I Offer Through Online Therapy California

Birth Trauma Therapy

If your birth experience left you feeling anxious, scared, or disconnected, you’re not alone. I specialize in birth trauma therapy, helping clients process traumatic memories and reconnect with their bodies and their babies.

Postpartum Therapy

Whether you’re experiencing intrusive thoughts, postpartum anxiety, or you just don’t feel like yourself, postpartum therapy can offer you a safe place to talk through what’s going on and feel less alone.

Therapy While Pregnant

Maybe you’re pregnant after a loss or worried about how you’ll cope with postpartum. As a pregnancy therapist, I help expecting moms manage their emotions, prepare for delivery, and build a support plan for postpartum wellness.

Online Therapy for Trauma

If you’ve experienced or witnessed something traumatic—whether it’s related to parenthood or not—online therapy can help. I use an approach called Brainspotting, which is especially effective in helping people process trauma, anxiety, and overwhelming experiences that are hard to talk about.

Why Clients in Folsom, El Dorado Hills, Sacramento & Roseville Work With Me

Although I work statewide, many of my clients are located in or near the California Foothills. Whether you’re navigating the fast pace of Sacramento or enjoying the quieter pace of El Dorado Hills or Shingle Springs, online therapy offers the flexibility to fit therapy into your life—not the other way around.

My virtual office is physically located in Shingle Springs, and therefore I’m familiar with many of the local resources, providers, and connected with other local therapists. I’m also a member of the Capitol City Birth Collective that supports local families in pregnancy and postpartum.

Frequently Asked Questions About Online Therapy California:

  • Yes it can be. It depends on your insurance and who your therapist is. I do not take insurance, but I help clients contact their insurance company and get reimbursed for therapy. Learn more here.

  • You definitely can. Those websites make it easy for clients to narrow down the type of therapist they are looking for. However, those big companies often do not pay therapists well. This can lead to therapists taking on too many clients, which can lead to burnout for the therapist.

  • I’ve found that online therapy is just as effective as it is in person! It’s more convenient, and you have more options to choose from- which is great especially if you live in a rural area.

  • I meet with my clients through a telehealth platform called Jane. Clients can join their appointments from the computer or their phone. It’s very similar to Zoom.
