ABOUT ME
Hi! My name is Brittany Sallaberry, LCSW, and I am a perinatal therapist providing online therapy to pregnant and postpartum women in California, including Folsom, Roseville, and Sacramento. I am physically located in El Dorado County.
I became a therapist for moms after working with women in Labor & Delivery as a hospital social worker, and after having my own babies. You truly don’t understand what it’s like to be pregnant, give birth, navigate postpartum, or parent until you’ve experienced it yourself (in my humble opinion). I often felt frustrated and limited working in Labor & Delivery, as I usually met moms immediately postpartum — and honestly, who wants to talk to the social worker right after having a baby? I eventually left my hospital job to focus on helping women in a more long-term, supportive way by providing therapy instead.
At times, there can be a real disconnect in the care you receive throughout pregnancy, delivery, and postpartum, especially when you’re one of many moving through an already stressed medical system. Your experiences during pregnancy, birth, and postpartum will likely become core memories you carry with you for the rest of your life. Your nervous system remembers too, and when those experiences aren’t processed or resolved, postpartum anxiety and depression, intrusive thoughts, emotional overwhelm, and other symptoms can linger. That’s why this time is so important. The care you receive, the way you experience birth, and how you feel postpartum can shape your parenting, relationships, and overall well-being for years to come.
Being a mom — whether you’re experiencing a loss, brand new to the role, or an OG — can be incredibly hard and often isolating. As a mom to two little ones, I get it. I’ve been there. And I see you. This is why I work with pregnant and postpartum women. I’ve been in the trenches (still am?!) and I know it does get better. The days are long, but the years are short. Let me sit with you in it — and walk with you through it. Whether you need an unbiased ear or you’re feeling deeply depressed, anxious, full of rage, or incredibly sad, I would be honored to support you during this time.
